Focus will be on developing skills in painting, drawing, mixed media, and more. From Henri Matisse to Georgia O’keefe we’ll take our inspiration from the masters and through fun projects we’ll explore the elements of art through Line, Value, Color, Space, Shape, Form, and Tex- ture. As a result of persistence, reflection, and evaluation, original work will be refined. The students will explore, communicate and evaluate the meaning conveyed by works of art for both the observer and creator.

By this understanding children will be able to create their own works of art and be able to differentiate between two and three dimensional space.

Want to try all the mediums? In this class Jo-Ann will guide students through drawings that will be finished with a number of mediums and sometime two! Students will fine tune their recognition of shapes, improve their hand eye coordination, learn representational drawing techniques and build their individual drawing style. We will explore use of chalk and oil pastels, colored pencils, watercolors, pen and ink, water based pastels and collage. This class teaches the fundamentals of drawing to all ages, older stu- dents will improve on their existing knowledge. Our artists will practice perspective, shading, shape and color theory and learn all the tricks and tools to improve their drawings. Please join us for this informative and fun filled class!

Jo-Ann is gifted with the vision to create exciting pieces of artwork using different media. She enjoys exploring her creativity to it's fullest. Paint like the Masters! Paint, Draw & More! presents another fantastic art class. This fun class will give stu- dents experience with acrylic paints and teach brush techniques, color theory, color mixing that allow your child to express their creativity in the best way possible. Does your child love to cook or have an interest in learn- ing how to? If so, this is the class for him/her! Grab an apron, bring your enthusiasm to cook and meet me in the kitchen! Little chefs will learn about food while they're making, baking, chopping and cooking delicious and healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack recipes! This is a fully hands on class and one that's full of fun and learn- ing! Each week our chefs will make a complete recipe to enjoy in class or bring home along with the instructions. *While we won't be using any peanut products, I cannot guarantee the use of other ingredients. Chess Wizards is a premier chess education company providing fun, informative, and challenging chess les- sons to students. Chess Wizards teaches children many important life concepts, such as learning the ability to win graciously and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be divided into groups according to their chess experience. At the end of this session, each student would have had the chance to participate in a mini-chess tournament.

Yes, We CAN learn about Robotics! With the LEGOTM WeDo Robotics System, young children can build and program their own robotic creations. Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches children about simple machines, engineering, programming and so much more. Young imaginations soar! Children will work in groups. This program is designed for home schooled children. Each week will consist of 30 minutes of fun structured games followed by 60 minutes of free play. All participants must be preregistered for the program to participate. All staff will wear masks and campers will be split into two groups.
