OUR MOTTO IS “HOOP GIRLS WHIRL THE WORLD” With a big H - for HAPPY This program has grown from 10 - 12 hoop- ers just a few years ago to almost 100 "Hoop Girls of Stamford”. A testament to the popularity and uniqueness of this fitness and dance program for girls. Hoop Girls will have a whirl of a time, getting happy and fit, while burning calories hooping it up to their favorite pop tunes using beautifully designed hoops. Our Fitness Hoops are handmade, slightly weighted, larger hoops, which makes learning hooping easier for beginner and challenging for the pro. Hoops are provid- ed but can also be purchased from Betty once we access ability and size. We start with a dynamic warm up using the hoops, followed by Hula Hooping and learning some awesome 'hooping tricks” and eventually, full choreographed HOOP DANCE routines. Hooping is a wonderful form of exercise, self expression, and creativity. It improves fitness, stamina, endurance, strengthens Core and improves hand-eye co-ordination, proprioception, balance and motor skills. Hoop Girls is also a phenomenal stress reducer. The endorphins flow and the smiles widen with each new Hoop Trick they master. Visit American Counsel on Exercise (ACE) for more benefits of Hula Hoop exercise.
