SUMMER CAMP
Registration Dates for Day Camps, Activity & Playground Programs & Preschool Camp 2023
Please update your on-line account before camp registration begins. Full pay registration will be 100% online this year.
Anyone registering a 5/6 year old that is currently in Kindergarten must supply a copy of the child’s birth certificate and the child’s report card to the recreation office within 36 hours of registering. The documents can be faxed (203)977-5504, emailed (stamfordrecreation@stamfordct.gov) or dropped off in the lobby drop box at the Government Center. If we do not receive the camp registration form & documents with-in 36 hours, you will lose your spot in the camp and be refunded your payment! Finally, if your child has an IEP or 504 plan and you agree to supply us with copy after you register, we can better accommodate your child’s needs. This will allow us to give them the best possible camp experience this summer

Registration Information for Reduced Fee Camp Spots
If your child/children qualify for the Reduced Fee, you will be required to call the recreation office to reserve a time slot to register in person at the Recreation Office located on the 6th floor Government Center. The appointment does not secure a camp spot until you come in to register and make the payment. If you do not come in at your scheduled time and date, you must call to make another appointment. Registration appointments are on a first come first served basis! Parents that would normally qualify for the free and reduced fee, will need to complete the Household Income Survey in your par- ent portal on the BOE website. This will replace the free & reduced letter and the eligibility letter you will receive deter- mines if you qualify for the reduced fee.
Listed below are the required documents you must bring to register your child/children on your appointment date:
- Completed Registration Form for the camp site you are registering for. ( Camp forms on our website)
- Copy of Birth certificate if your child is 6 years old or in kindergarten
- Copy of the Eligibility Letter you received from the BOE
- Payment of Cash, Check or Credit Card
- If your child has a 504 or an IEP Plan and you agree to supply us with a copy so we can better accommodate your child’s needs at camp.Please call 203-977-5214 beginning February 27, 2023 to make an appointment to register. Registration appointments start March 14, 2023 Monday – 9:00am to 3:00PM.

Preschool Summer Camp at Roxbury – Registration by Appointment Only In Person
No on-line registration for this camp and a copy of the child’s Birth Certificate is required at registration! The Recreation Office is located in the Government Center. If you are interested in registering you child for the preschool camp you will need to call the recreation office and set up a time and date to come in and register. Registration will begin the Tuesday, March 14, 2023 for this summer camp. Please call 203-977-5214 to set up your registration date.

$4,000.00 per year ( 3 Year olds / 3 times per week ) Can be paid in 4 payments of $1,000.00
$5,300.00 per year ( 4 year olds / 4 times per week ) Can be paid in 4 payments of $1,325.00 A $500.00
Non – refundable deposit is due at the time of registration & the deposit will be deducted from your final payment.

Our exciting preschool program specifically designed for 3 and 4 year old’s. Children will gain independence and self-confidence in our play based approach to early learning focused on socialization and cooperation. This hands on, active environment will encourage exploration and discovery. Activities will include creative expression, dramatic play, music and movement, large and small motor activities, early literacy, sensory activities, math readiness and outdoor play.

2022 Hayride with Santa!
The 22nd Annual Hay Ride With Santa At Cove Island
Where: Cove Island Park – Ride starts by the Pavilion.
When: Saturday, December 3, 2022- Day 1
Sunday, December 4 2022 –Day 2
Time: 10:00AM -1:00PM & 2:00PM –5:00PM – Sat.
10:00AM – 3:30PM only – Sunday
Fee: $6.00 per person (all riders must have a ticket)
Staff: SANTA, and The Recreation Services Staff
Session – 01 – Saturday / Session – 02 – Sunday
Come join us for the 22nd Annual Hay Ride with Santa at Cove Island Park. This wonderful family event is open to Stamford residents. Bring the family or come with friends, and enjoy a horse drawn trip around Cove Island Park. Santa will sing holiday songs with the children and at the end of each ride they will get to sit on Santa’s lap and receive a small treat. After the ride, participants can enjoy holiday music, cookies, and cocoa under the decorated pavilion. Don’t miss this wonderful holiday event. Let us help your children create memories that last a lifetime. Tickets must be purchased in advance for this event and will go on sale November 1, 2022 The event has sold out for the past 21 years.
Note: Tickets will be sold per half hour slot and there will be a maximum of 26 tickets per ride sold. A max of 10 tickets per family may be purchased and no tickets will be sold the day of the event. Tickets will once again be sold online this year.

The Parent & Me Multi Sports Squirts program allows children to try a variety of sports with a helping hand from Mom or Dad! Ease your child into social situations with support and confidence as you engage in fun sports activities and games together.
Squirts Multi Sports (3-4 year olds)
The Squirts Multi Sports program allows children to try a variety of different sports throughout the season including Lacrosse, Soccer, T-Ball, and Track & Field. All sports are taught in a safe and structured learning environment designed to ensure learning and most importantly: fun, fun, fun!
Parent & Me T-Ball Squirts(2-3 year olds)
Parent & Me T-Ball Squirts is a fun and positive introduction to t-ball for young children with a helping hand from Mom or Dad! With a parent participating by their side, kids will have fun learning the fundamental skills of t-ball through structured activities, fun based games, and scrimmages.
Squirts T-Ball (3-4 year olds)
Open to both boys and girls, there’s no better introduction to the sports of baseball or softball! Skills covered include hitting, throwing, catching, base running, fielding, and more. Each session is taught through structured activities, fun games, and scrimmages designed to ensure learning and most importantly: fun, fun, fun!
Senior Squirts Multi Sports (4-5 year olds)
This class is the perfect stepping stone for children who have graduated from Squirts Multi Sports or for children looking for their first ever sports experience. Players will learn key skills in a variety of sports through small-sided scrimmages, games, and activities in a variety of sports.
