| Scott has worked for the City of Stamford since 1998 as the
Assistant Superintendent of Recreation. He is responsible for the administration of
the adult sport leagues, supervision of the Aquatics program and city beaches and pools,
coordination of summer sport camps and website development and maintenance. Scott is certified as a CPRP(Certified Park and Recreation Professional), AFO(Aquatic Facility Operator), American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and CPR for the Professional Rescuer Instructor. He is a member of CRPA and NRPA. He is chairman-elect of the Connnecticut Recreation and Parks Association Aquatics committee which helps create legistlation and puts on the statewide Annual Lifeguard Olympics and Lifeguard College. Scott graduated from Torrington HS and the University of Connecticut with both a BS and MA in Parks and Recreation management. Before coming to Stamford, Scott worked as Recreation Operations Supervisor for the Town of Darien, Recreation Coordinator for the Lake Grove School and Recreation Supervisor at the University of Connecticut Recreation and Intramurals Division. In his leisure time, Scott enjoys playing softball(see him on State Champion Coed Softball team) swimming, running and working out. |
