Umpires and League Directors

The Stamford Recreation Services Division works closely with the Stamford Softball Umpires Association(SSUA) to provide certified umpires for all league games in Stamford.   We are always looking for new umpires to work games in our leagues.  Umpires get paid $40 per game for working alone, or $25 per game if they work with a partner.   All umpires that work in Stamford are ASA certified and have years of experience.

The Stamford Recreation Services Division also hires League Directors to supervise the leagues on-site.  Responsibilities getting the games started on time, ensuring umpire coverage, collecting line up cards and handing in scores at the end of the evening.   League Directors receive $50 per night.
