Due to the enormous success of the policy in which the City of Stamford provided bats in 2007, we are going to continue the trend and expand the policy in our Men's Industrial Divisions. The program works in Stamford and eliminated all the "cheater" bats in the leagues. Most importantly it eliminated all the negativity and suspicion of cheater bats. Teams constantly accused other teams of cheating and often, the teams with the better bats won. Now, the better team is the team that wins most often. We also are going to ban the Mizuno bats and the other hybrid aluminum/composite bats. Some of the Mizuno bats were banned by ASA and are no longer ASA approved. This will eliminate any confusion on the field. Bats that are NOT approved can be found on www.asasoftball.com
For the Men's Open, Men's Industrial and Coed Open, the following bats are NOT legal:
1. Any bat that is 100% composite
2. Any hybrid aluminum/composite bat (for example Mizuno Crush/ Demarini
F2)
3. Worth PST
4. No Mizuno Bats
5. Any bat that comes out that is not the White Steel/Raw Steel, 100%
aluminum or a Wood Bat.
Women's league:
1. May use any ASA Approved bat.
Coed Industrial Leagues:
1. May use any ASA Approved bat.
